Dick and I would go to Crystal Palace on a Saturday night and take a booth in the side room and order 10 glasses of beer at once (Miller HighLife as I remember) and leave them on the table (except for the ones we were drinking) to attract underage Hartford girls...we were very popular.
Come to think of it, the Watervliet/Hartford attraction must have been a natural one. I can identify at least four cases among my friends and classmates where Watervliet guys married Hartford girls or vice versa, There were probably more. (May 10, 2008)
