Dad always loved going deer hunting every November, he wasn't very good at it but always went.....except 1926.....John was born on November 20, 1926 so he didn't go that year for obvious reasons. In after years he would laughingly refer to it as the year he screwed himself out of a deer season. I'll bet he never cracked that joke where Mom could hear. (May 13, 2008)
